Gwyther Irwin

Gwyther Irwin's most famous artworks were pictures assembled from newspaper and magazine pages, sometimes including string, wood-shavings, chalk and paint.

This print comes from a series of 16 created by artist members of the Chelsea Arts Club for the club's centenary in 1991. All prints in this series are signed by the artist and numbered IV / VIII HC (hors de commerce).

They were originally owned by Stan Smith, chairman of the Chelsea Arts Club, and one of the 16 contributing artists.
