Inge Clayton

Inge Clayton (1942 - 2010) displays an uncompromising eroticism in her work. She came to London in the '60s to work as an au pair and stayed here. It was not long before she embarked on her career as an artist. An admirer of Kurt Schwitters and Oskar Kokoshka, the stark sensuality of her work is reminiscent of her Austrian compatriot Egon Schiele.
